APT is pleased to announce a special panel in honor of our late colleague Dustin Howes, a longtime supporter and active member of APT. This special roundtable features scholars whose work overlaps with Dustin's and discusses the implications of his work on nonviolence for politics today.

Dustin Ells Howes was the David J. Kriskovich Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Louisiana State University. In addition to numerous articles and essays, he was the author of Toward a Credible Pacifism: Violence and the Possibilities of Politics (SUNY University Press, 2009) and Freedom Without Violence: Resisting The Western Political Tradition (Oxford University Press, 2016), which is currently being translated into Arabic.
