We invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in political theory, beginning August 16, 2018. Candidate must demonstrate teaching excellence and research potential. Responsibilities include teaching ten to twelve credit hours a semester (typically two or three sections of American government and one or two upper level courses per semester), research and productive scholarship, and after the first year, student advisement, as well as service to the department, university, profession, and community.
 
Position requires a Ph.D. in Political Science in hand by August 16, 2018 and ability to teach introductory and upper level undergraduate courses in political theory and the introductory American Government course.
